Brighton Earthship

A community centre built by the Low Carbon Trust and was the first earthship to be built in the UK. Using low-impact materials (including 1,000 used tyres and 1,500 card board boxes), and featuring renewable energy, rainwater harvesting, and solar design in its construction. It not only provides space for the local community, it also educates and inspires positive action in individuals to generate environmental change. They run tours and training events, as well as green building courses.
